Overview: Limp Bizkit formed in 1994 after lead singer Fred Durst joined up with John Otto, Sam Rivers and Rob Waters. The band later released a four-track demo and after that Waters left the band and was replaced by Wes Borland. The band became immensely popular in 1997 with the release of their first full-length album 'Three Dollar Bill Yall$'. This album was innovative because it was one of the first of its kind to mix a hard rock style with rap lyrics and because of this style Limp Bizkit is considered to be one of the first nu-metal bands. The band only gained momentum from there by releasing two more platinum selling albums, 'Significant Other' and 'Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water', with both albums reaching #1 on the Billboard 200.

The Good: Although Limp Bizkit hasn't been around for 20 years, they have amassed quite a few big hits over their time and with each new album they consistently have a number of big hits that are all on this album. Tracks that you'll hear on this disc include the George Michael cover song of "Faith", rap song featuring Method Man "N 2 Gether Now" and the smash hit "My Way". In addition to 14 songs spanning four studio albums, this greatest hits compilation features three previously unreleased tracks including "Home Sweet Home/Bittersweet Symphony", a medley of "Home Sweet Home" by Motley Crue and "Bitter Sweet Symphony" by The Verve.

The Bad: Like with all greatest hits albums, there isn't much is terms of diversity on the songs because they are all older tracks so there is no changing style of the band that will turn on would be newcomer fans. This album is just for previous fans of Limp Bizkit and if you never liked them before there is no point in getting this album.

Bottomline: Fans of Limp Bizkit might like to take a trip down memory lane with this album. Likewise, people who aren't big fans of Limp Bizkit who pretty much just like the band in small doses will enjoy this album because it's a greatest hits album. All the big hits from the band are on this CD and it feels appropriate that this album was released when it was because most certainly the band has reached its peak and their days of going 7x platinum are surely behind them. While Limp Bizkit is not the most popular band in the world nowadays, this album will satisfy their few remaining fans that will want to relive some of their old songs in addition to hearing three pretty good previously unreleased tracks as well.
