Los Angeles rock station KROQ have announced that this year’s annual Weenie Roast Festival will be headlined by Metallica. Other bands set to perform include The Offspring, The Raconteurs, Rise Against, Bad Religion, Pennywise, The Bravery, Scars on Broadway, Seether, Flogging Molly, and Atreyu.

Chris Cornell, ASHES dIVIDE, the Bravery and Linkin Park will perform on the main stage of the 2008 Projekt Revolution tour which kicks off on July 16th. Atreyu, 10 Years, Hawthorne Heights, Armor for Sleep and Street Drum Corps will perform on the second stage.

The Stone Temple Pilots have confirmed their third show this Summer for the 2008 Edgefest in Toronto. The event will be held July 12th at Downsview Park. Other notable bands on the bill are Linkin Park, Ashes Divide, and The Bravery.
