The Black Crowes will release ‘Croweology‘, an acoustic double album, on August 3rd. On August 13th their “Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys…” tour will get underway with most dates featuring the band performing a ninety minute acoustic set followed by a ninety minute electric set. Black Country are currently in the studio with Kevin Shirley (Slivertide, Black Crowes) recording their debut album which is due out in late 2010 / early 2011. The new group is made up of Led Zeppelin drummer Jason Bonham, bassist Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), keyboardist Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater) and vocalist Joe Bonamassa.

Stone Temple Pilots are nearing the end of the recording process for their new album with producer Don Was (Rolling Stones, Black Crowes). Front-man Scott Wieland told Spinner.com the band has nine tracks completed with another five left.

Stone Temple Pilots have announced that they will continue work on their upcoming new album with with producer Don Was (Rolling Stones, Black Crowes) after their current tour ends in early 2010. The band are planning for a Spring/Summer release.
